Man and Angel is a display typeface inspired by the manananggal—a winged mythical creature from the Philippines that has the ability to separate from its lower body. The typeface is characterized by sharp serifs reminiscent of talons and slices reminiscent of the segmentation ability of the manananggal.

Kai Tan is a graphic designer and illustrator pursuing her undergraduate degree in BFA Information Design at Ateneo de Manila University. In everything she makes, she strives to create an experience.
